I am a PhD Candidate (ABD) at The Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA.
Broadly, my research areas include: (1) childhood abuse, (2) physical and mental health, (3) aging and the life-course, (4) quantitative methodology, and (5) religion.
My current research examines physical and psychological health over the life-course while examining the role of childhood adversity and trauma -- topics I am very passionate about. The physical and mental health implications of poverty and abuse are something I grew up around in South Texas and I hope that my research can help make a difference.
In addition to my passion for research, I am deeply moved by teaching and am most charismatic in the classroom. I consider teaching and mentorship to be very natural skills for me.
